Product Overview
Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) allows for combination of multiple optical signals onto a single optical fiber. Ethernet and video as well as Legacy protocols signals can be aggregated over the many optical channels on a single fiber.
Optical Switches, Optical fiber amplifiers, Add-Drop modules, Reconfigurable Optical Add-Drop Multiplexer (ROADM) or Optical Time-Domain Reflectometers (OTDR) can be added to further increase the flexibility, reliability and maintainability of an Optical Network Node or as part of a multi-degree node in a mesh WSON or ASON with < 50 msec restore time. Optical encryption can be added to further increase security.
High reliability optical mesh network using self healing 1+1, 1:1 or 1+1+R protection can be integrated into GET Engineering Fiber Optical Data Concentrator. These optical channels can be either bidirectional or unidirectional.
The rugged fiber optic components are housed in a military qualified, ruggedize 19” Rack mount enclosure. The height of the enclosure is dependent on the number of protocols and format of the signals.
